{"id":230,"date":"2016-08-26T18:14:50","date_gmt":"2016-08-26T18:14:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.qsc.com\/live-sound\/?p=230"},"modified":"2016-09-14T21:55:40","modified_gmt":"2016-09-14T21:55:40","slug":"little-hurricane-live-performance-videos-with-touchmix","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.qsc.com\/live-sound\/de\/little-hurricane-live-performance-videos-with-touchmix\/","title":{"rendered":"Little Hurricane &#8211; Live Performance Videos with TouchMix"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We\u00a0caught up with the band <a href=\"http:\/\/www.littlehurricanemusic.com\/\">Little Hurricane<\/a>\u00a0at The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.slidebarfullerton.com\/\">Slidebar<\/a> in Fullerton, CA.\u00a0 The band is using the TouchMix-16 compact digital mixer for in-ear monitor mixing and multi-track recording of their live shows.<\/p>\n<p>Luckily for us,\u00a0the Slidebar is right down the road from QSC so we decided to bring\u00a0a few GoPro cameras and help Little Hurricane produce\u00a0a couple of live performance videos using\u00a0the TouchMix. One set of outputs from the splitter \u00a0was connected to the inputs on the front of house mixer. The other set of outputs on the splitter was\u00a0connected to the inputs on the TouchMix-16 as follows:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Kick<\/li>\n<li>Snare<\/li>\n<li>Hi-Hat<\/li>\n<li>Tom 1 (rack)<\/li>\n<li>Tom 2 (floor)<\/li>\n<li>Drum Overhead Left<\/li>\n<li>Drum Overhead Right<\/li>\n<li>DPD Trigger Pad (mono)<\/li>\n<li>Guitar Bass Direct (Oc-3 pedal)<\/li>\n<li>Guitar Amp Mic 1 (Supro)<\/li>\n<li>Guitar Amp Mic 2 (Matchless)<\/li>\n<li>Tenor Guitar DI<\/li>\n<li>Mandolin<\/li>\n<li>Lead Vocal &#8211; Tone<\/li>\n<li>Dirty Vocal &#8211; Tone<\/li>\n<li>Vocal &#8211; CC<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>An external solid state USB-3 hard drive connected to TouchMix recorded separate WAV files for each of the above inputs . Next, the WAV files were imported into the band&#8217;s computer using the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.qsc.com\/resources\/software-and-firmware\/touchmix\/touchmix-daw-utility\/\">TouchMix DAW Utility software<\/a>\u00a0and then mixed in Pro Tools by Tone.<\/p>\n<p>Tone sent us the mixed stereo audio file,\u00a0which\u00a0we imported into Adobe Premier video editing software.
