Ventura Band Powered by K Column Loudspeakers in France

Ventura is a cover band based in the south of France with Maé Andrazz on vocals, Chloé Rebeiro (aka Rockloe) on guitar, Pierdo Spinosi on bass, and Jonathan Chambel on drums. The band performs approximately 30 shows a year, mainly weddings, but also corporate events, and public events in places like hotels and restaurants.

We recently caught up with guitarist Chloé Rebeiro to ask her a few questions about the band and their QSC gear.

What QSC products do you use and why?

We use the QSC TouchMix-16 digital mixer along with the KC12 powered column speakers as our main setup.

We were looking for something both compact and powerful, and this combination turned out to be the perfect fit for our needs.

The TouchMix is great because it has enough outputs for in-ear monitoring for everyone in the band as we don’t use any wedge monitors. It’s also really easy to use, and we can save our settings, which makes things much quicker when we set up. We also like the fact that we can easily multitrack record our shows with it.

We also use the TouchMix Control app a lot. Being able to walk around the room and adjust the sound directly from our tablet is super helpful. It also lets us tweak our in-ear monitor levels so everyone feels comfortable on stage.

For the KC12, what really stands out is the clarity of the sound combined with its power. It delivers a clean and precise professional audio experience.

We chose QSC not only for its amazing sound quality, but also because it’s reliable and consistent, and that’s exactly what we need for our live shows.

Do you have any “favorite features” in your QSC products?

We have a few features on the KC12 that we really use all the time on gigs. The Bluetooth with True Wireless Stereo is honestly a big one for us. It’s really useful for playing music during our breaks without having to plug anything in.

One thing we noticed straight away is how evenly the sound spreads. Wherever you are in the room, it stays clear, which really makes a difference during gigs.

We’ve also noticed that the system holds up really well when the energy goes up. Even when we push it more, especially at weddings or bigger events, the sound stays clean and defined.

Another thing that’s really useful for us is being able to plug directly into the column and use the built-in effects. It’s super practical, especially for smaller setups like wedding ceremonies in duo, where we want something compact, quick to set up, and easy to move around.

And finally, the modular design is something we really appreciate. Every venue is different, so being able to adapt the setup easily makes things a lot smoother for us.

Do you have any gigging tips you can share with other musicians/bands?

One of the biggest tips we can share is to pay attention to every single detail.

Rehearsing regularly as a band is key. It helps you feel comfortable on stage, deliver a solid performance, and build a real connection between the musicians, and that makes a huge difference live.

The visual aspect is also important. Having a clean setup and looking good on stage really adds to the overall experience and how the audience sees you.

And of course, having reliable, high-quality gear really makes a difference. For us, there was a clear before and after when we switched to QSC—we’ve had a lot more positive feedback about our sound since then.

In the end, it’s all of those things that really help you stand out and be remembered as a professional band which ultimately results in getting hired again and again!
