QSC brings Microsoft Teams Room systems to previously underserved high-impact spaces in partnership with Dell and Logitech

Currently there is a multitude of Microsoft Teams Room solutions for small, medium and large rooms, but what about high-value spaces like all-hands rooms, divisible rooms, training rooms, and board rooms? It has been a challenge to find scalable solutions to deliver the quality and performance demanded by Teams in these spaces.

These spaces are some of the most critical for organizations to provide a quality and reliable user experience for Teams. We discussed these needs in detail with end users and Microsoft, while leveraging QSC’s years of experience to come up with flexible solutions to service the wide variety of needs in these high-impact spaces. Taking all this into consideration, we partnered with Dell, Logitech and Sennheiser to deliver complete Q-SYS packages specifically tailored to these spaces that are manageable and flexible with best-breed Teams Room certified devices.

These QSC Room Solutions packages are comprised of all the essential AV elements needed including compute, audio, video, and control. With our Dell partnership for many components in our Q-SYS ecosystem from our networking switches to our most powerful Core, the Dell OptiPlex 7080 Micro was our first choice for the Teams Room PC. Paired with the Logitech Tap, users will have the same familiar Teams Room one touch experience in high-impact spaces as they do in the meeting rooms they use every day. Depending on the room size & configuration, these packages will also include one of the recently certified QSC room audio accessories featuring the Sennheiser TeamConnect Ceiling 2 microphone and a certified room camera, like the Logitech Rally Camera.

Dell also has a family of large format monitors that are designed to integrate with the OptiPlex 7080 Micro, in fact, there is a slot built into the display that will house the OptiPlex neatly behind the display and help manage the cabling. And with the full-featured scripting engine in Q-SYS, you can even customize room control for displays, lighting, HVAC and many other devices to fit the needs of the room.

We knew from the start that we wanted to deliver a next-level experience for Teams users. We did this through a number of new software elements, which include a Q-SYS Control application for Microsoft Teams Rooms that enables Q-SYS user control interfaces (UCI) on the Teams Room console, along with a Sample Q-SYS design file and Room Optimization UCI for Teams Rooms that help to simplify Teams Room deployment. These will all be available with the release of Q-SYS Designer Software v9.0 in January 2021.

Until now high-impact spaces have been a challenge for Teams Rooms deployments. But now, with QSC Room Solutions for Teams Room, you have options to confidently and simply deploy Microsoft Teams Rooms to every meeting space in your organization.
