A New Approach: Solving High-Value Spaces with Software

Due to changing workforce trends such as an increasing hybrid workforce, there is a growing need to define and create meeting spaces by desired collaboration experience and business purpose, not just room size. Employees expect more automation, features, and functionality in all the physical and virtual spaces where they need to collaborate. They don’t just want to meet together, but instead collaborate together in an immersive and engaging environment. Employees also want to use a standardized UC platform in all spaces, such as Google Meet, so they don’t have to troubleshoot AV, but instead focus on business objectives. We’ve heard these needs from the field numerous times as end customers try to grapple with the idea of “hybrid equity” and what it means for their business workflows and infrastructure.

And while high-value spaces are growing in adoption and importance, they present a unique set of challenges. They demand advanced audio processing, multipoint video distribution, fully customizable room control and increased automation. These rooms are difficult to scale and often result in an inconsistent user experience. Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a software-based solution?

QSC and Google recognize the needs of a high-value space, and seek to solve them with a software-based approach. Our engagement with Google is a perfect match as both companies have a passion for connecting the world with software, and share a commitment to delivering innovative and immersive meeting experiences. Our recent Google Meet certification represents a major shift in the product certification process. Instead of individually certifying individual hardware components, Google has certified Q-SYS software-based audio processing for use with Google Meet hardware kits. The Q-SYS Core processor integrates with the Google Meet compute device via a single USB, allowing Q-SYS to exercise its expansive Ecosystem of third-party integration capabilities.

This means that regardless of processing or I/O requirements, technicians are able to select from any Q-SYS Core and/or USB bridging endpoint to ensure a seamless audio experience with all Google Meet hardware. With Google Meet and Q-SYS, employees can stay within the Google Meet interface they are familiar with while also reaping the benefits of advanced room features and functionality. Now you can bring the same Google Meet experience you know and love outside of traditional conference rooms and into high-value spaces with confidence.

Learn more about how you can leverage the power of Q-SYS to enable high-value spaces with Google Meet.
