Little Hurricane, a hard-working dirty blues duo from San Diego, CA is now using the TouchMix-16 for their in-ear monitor mixer. The award-winning band consisting of guitarist, Tone and drummer, CC have been featured in Rolling Stone and have songs recently appearing in four Taco Bell national TV ads, MLB’s “The Show” 2016 video game, and some indie movies. They are currently working on their third studio release and continue to tour and play festivals year-round including Austin City Limits, SXSW and Lollapalooza to name a few.
Before Little Hurricane, Tone worked as a studio engineer and live recording engineer at Carlsbad’s Le Mobile studio; he has recorded acts such as Gwen Stefani, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Metallica. “I really like the TouchMix,” says Tone. “It’s light enough that we can take it on fly dates, it sounds great, and it’s easy to use. The effects (EQ, compressor, reverbs and delays) sound really good onstage. It’s important for us to have a great sounding and consistent in-ear monitor mix wherever we play. This allows us to perform our best, and reduce our set up and check time. Our sound engineer can make adjustments from front of house with an iPad. The fact that we can easily multi-track record our live shows direct to a hard drive is a bonus! The TouchMix is a really powerful little mixer.”
