Q-SYS Connect Unlocks New Flexibility for Zoom Rooms

Certification matters. For organizations standardizing on Zoom Rooms, certification is a signal of trust. It confirms that a solution has undergone joint testing, meets Zoom’s requirements for reliability and interoperability, and delivers a predictable, supported experience at scale. For IT teams and AV decision makers, certification reduces deployment risk, eliminates uncertainty, and simplifies long-term support planning.

With that in mind, Q-SYS is pleased to announce that the Q-SYS TSC-101-G3 touch screen controller with Q-SYS Connect software is now certified as a Zoom Rooms attached controller for Windows. This certification validates consistent performance and official support within Zoom Rooms environments, giving customers confidence that their meeting control experience is fully aligned with Zoom’s standards.

With a Zoom-certified meeting controller now part of our native portfolio, Q-SYS delivers a comprehensive, end-to-end solution for modern Zoom Rooms spanning audio, video, meeting control, and room control.

The Power of Flexibility

As organizations push to make better use of real estate, meeting spaces must adapt quickly to different use cases. Rooms are expected to support everything from large presentations to small breakout sessions, often within the same footprint. Divisible spaces make this possible by allowing rooms to be combined or separated on demand — but flexibility at the infrastructure level must be matched by flexibility in the user experience.

Today, the Q-SYS Full Stack AV Platform already manages audio and video peripherals as spaces are divided or combined, allowing the AV infrastructure to adapt dynamically. However, UC meeting control has traditionally remained tied to a single, predefined controller. In combined spaces, typically only the controller associated with the active Zoom Room can control the meeting, leaving other touch screens unusable.

This disconnect creates a fragmented and confusing in-room user experience. Participants may need to move to a specific location to manage the meeting or adjust room settings, undermining the flexibility of the space.

Extending Flexibility to Meeting Control

With Q-SYS Connect, all the Q-SYS TSC-101-G3 touch screen controllers in the combined space can now control the active meeting. As rooms are divided or combined, Q-SYS Connect automatically presents the appropriate Zoom Rooms interface on each controller. This Q-SYS Connect capability is supported by Q-SYS, extending standard Zoom Rooms control behavior without altering Zoom’s native experience.
